We stayed till the end of the concert and when we walked out around 11:15 there were no parking attendants, no one to report damages, they just take your money and leave apparently. Paid $30 to park at the TACOMA DOME LOT only to get my window broken and have a bag and several things stolen. I went to a concert in October 2021 at the Tacoma Dome for Dan & Shay. Program needs to be reconfigured for locations that do not allow you to park in acceptable amounts of time, as well as seating needs to be limited if you are not able to see the screen from your seats, which helps them fill time while preparing the trucks. Not worth the $300 for our tickets that did not even allow us to enjoy the whole program behind the screen.

It was over before we knew it and then were back to stupid traffic lines. My son and his brother have now been in the car for over 2 hours, were rushed to our seats only to hear voices on a screen they cannot see and have to wait 20 more minutes for the bikes to begin, not even the trucks. We get to our seats in section 222 and only to find out the trucks are on break and there is an MC for the program talking to the drivers, which the boys cannot see, because the seats are behind the big screen.
#Tacoma dome concerts in september 2019 full#
Almost all the lots were full and 20 minutes later we found parking and finally made it into the Tacoma dome at 1:40 and had missed what I assume to be the first part of the trucks. We arrived at the Tacoma dome exit and were stuck in that line for 1 hour and 10 minutes with an excited 4 and 5 year old, to just reach the light to turn towards the dome parking. Purchased tickets for my young son and his brother, gave ourselves and hour and a half to get there, park and get situated.

Will we return to this venue, maybe, depends on if we find another can't miss concert. Once on the street Tacoma PD had traffic moving just fine. It was a total chaotic bottlenecked mess and took 45+ minutes to get out of the lot and on to the street. We did pay the $25 fee to park in the auto museum grass lot, it was close but then they did not have significant enough help or trained help to efficiently get the traffic moving after the event. The usher to our area was completely clueless and was no help at all, I was able to find our section easier without her help. We had intoxicated guys in front of us that kept getting up and going up on the cat walk area to watch the concert, the gate to the catwalk was open and no one ever even noticed that they were up there. There was also not much security inside the Dome, outside yes. they need to find a separate location for gift buying that won't block the walkways.

The snack bar areas charge more than what you will pay at a MLB game, which is a lot! It was also hard to get around between the food lines and the lines for souvenir's. The stairs getting up to our seats were also very small and difficult to navigate, even before the concert started the lighting was very poor and it made it even harder to get up the stairs. They should have to tell you that seats in this area have an obstructed view. We could see the stage all right but the disappointing thing was that we couldn't even see the large screen TV's because of the light rigging stuff that was totally blocking our view. Our seats were literally in the rafters, not a joke, the cat walk was just 2 rows above us. We just went there for a George Strait concert.
